Job Description

Description We are looking for an experienced Tax Preparer to join our team in Warwick, Rhode Island, on a long-term contract basis. This role requires someone with strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle a high volume of client interactions during tax season. You will play an essential role in providing exceptional service to clients while managing administrative and bookkeeping tasks. Responsibilities: - Handle client inquiries and schedule appointments through phone calls and face-to-face interactions. - Assist clients with tax preparation by reviewing and entering information into tax software. - Perform bookkeeping tasks, including reconciling accounts, categorizing transactions, and updating financial data. - Utilize software tools such as ProSeries, QuickBooks Online, and Excel to manage client information and records. - Scan and organize client documents to ensure accurate and timely processing. - Provide excellent customer service to clients during in-office meetings and drop-off appointments. - Manage a high volume of tasks and interactions while maintaining professionalism and attention to detail. - Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations and adherence to deadlines. - Stay updated on tax policies and software changes to enhance service quality. - Adapt to new systems and tools implemented in the office as needed. Requirements - Proven experience in tax preparation, particularly individual tax returns. - Proficiency in QuickBooks Online and Microsoft Excel. - Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively. - Excellent interpersonal skills with a warm and approachable demeanor. - Ability to handle high-volume client interactions professionally. - Familiarity with tax software such as ProSeries or similar tools. - Experience managing appointments and schedules efficiently. - Competence in using multi-line phone systems for client communication.
