Description We are looking for an experienced Tax Preparer to join our team in Dayton, Ohio. This is a long-term contract position, ideal for a detail-oriented individual with expertise in tax compliance and non-resident alien tax matters. The role requires a thorough understanding of international tax regulations and the ability to handle complex tax filings. Responsibilities: - Prepare and file 1042S tax forms with accuracy and attention to detail. - Ensure compliance with 1042 regulations and applicable tax laws. - Conduct detailed tax assessments to identify and address potential issues. - Manage tax-related tasks for non-resident aliens affiliated with universities or government entities. - Utilize Lacerte Tax Software to streamline tax preparation processes. - Provide guidance on individual tax return filings and address IRS-related inquiries. - Stay updated on international tax compliance requirements and regulations. - Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient and timely tax filings. - Analyze tax documents and data to ensure accuracy and compliance. - Offer expert advice and solutions for complex tax scenarios. Requirements - Proven experience in tax preparation, including individual tax returns. - Strong knowledge of 1042S tax filing and compliance. - Expertise in handling non-resident alien tax matters. - Familiarity with Lacerte Tax Software. - Comprehensive understanding of IRS regulations and international tax compliance. - Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail. - Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously. - Effective communication skills to interact with clients and team members.
