General Manager – Premier Upscale-Casual Restaurant

Location: Virginia Beach, VA

An acclaimed, chef-driven restaurant group with a significant following in major U.S. cities is seeking an experienced General Manager to lead its high-volume Virginia Beach location. We are a growth-oriented company known for delivering exceptional culinary experiences within the upscale-casual dining segment. The ideal candidate will be a proven sales-builder and a passionate executor of top-level service and food quality, capable of inspiring a large team in a dynamic and competitive market.

Key Responsibilities

• Assume full P&L accountability for a restaurant with annual sales between $6M–$8M, driving revenue and managing costs effectively.

1. Lead, coach, and develop a total team of approximately 100 employees, including subordinate managers, supervisors, and culinary leaders.
2. Uphold and elevate brand standards, ensuring every guest receives an exceptional and consistent hospitality experience.
3. Collaborate closely with culinary leadership to ensure seamless execution between front-of-house and back-of-house operations.
4. Develop and implement sales-building strategies to increase market share and enhance guest loyalty.
5. Oversee all operational functions, including inventory management, vendor relations, staff scheduling, and compliance with all health and safety regulations.

Qualifications and Experience

• Required: Current or recent experience as a General Manager in a high-volume, upscale-casual, or chef-driven full-service restaurant.

1. Required: Verifiable P&L responsibility for an operation with annual sales of at least $6 million.
2. Demonstrated expertise in coaching, team development, and performance management for both salaried and hourly employees.
3. A proven track record as a sales builder with a strategic approach to growing business in a competitive landscape.
4. Preferred: Experience with new restaurant openings is a significant plus.

Compensation and Benefits

• A competitive base salary in the $100,000 range, dependent on experience.
