Project Coordinator (Associate Project Manager)

📍 Oakland, CA (Hybrid – Local Candidates Only)

💵 $40–$52/hr (W2)

3-Month Contract | Possible Extension Through Q1 2026

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Project Coordinator to support EV charging programs for a major utility client. This role is primarily coordination-focused , not heavy project management. Ideal for professionals who excel in structured workflows, cross-functional communication, and tracking complex processes.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate with internal teams and external stakeholders on EV charging equipment testing.
  • Track testing activities, progress, outcomes, and prepare regular status updates for the Program Manager.
  • Work closely with the Program Manager to assist with hardware/software fixes related to charging equipment.
  • Support the implementation and monitoring of EV charging grant programs , ensuring compliance with guidelines.
  • Manage and track external funding applications , provide milestone updates, and resolve program-related issues.
  • Maintain strong documentation, organizational records, and reporting accuracy.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience as a Project Coordinator or in a similar coordination-focused role.
  • 2–4 years managing grant applications or funding programs .
  • Bachelor’s degree (BS/BA) or equivalent hands-on experience.
  • Proven attention to detail, organization, and process tracking.
  • Strong ability to communicate complex processes clearly.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting construction-related projects .
  • Background working with an investor-owned utility (IOU) .
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • High level of professionalism, initiative, and workflow ownership.

Equipment Requirement

A client laptop will be provided. If procurement is delayed, candidates may need to temporarily use a personal or supplier-provided device for Citrix access.
